Preschool Playskills

Ages 2-3 ||  Wednesdays 9:00-9:45am or Thursdays 9:15-10:00am

The Preschool Playskills group is a therapeutic program focused on social development. It is designed to enhance play skills while encouraging age-appropriate language through natural social interactions. Children will participate in a variety of adult- and child-directed activities aimed at building essential preschool skills, including joint attention, circle-time participation, waiting, turn-taking, sharing, and pairing language with nonverbal social cues. In addition to our Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), an Occupational Therapist (OT) will also lead activities that focus on fine and gross motor skills, as well as sensory processing development.

Lunch Bunch

Ages 4-5 ||  Fridays 1:30-2:15pm

Our Lunch Bunch social skills group is specially designed for children who are just starting or preparing to enter school. It focuses on helping them build strong social relationships in a supportive and engaging environment. This group is ideal for children who can participate in brief, back-and-forth conversations. During the sessions, children will work on key skills such as improving attention to peers, practicing good listening and turn-taking, enhancing social language, and learning strategies for building and maintaining friendships. To further support their development, an occupational therapist (OT) will join our speech-language pathologist (SLP) to lead activities that promote fine and gross motor skills, as well as sensory processing development.

Snack and Speak

Ages 5½ - 7½ ||  Thursdays 4:30-5:15pm

Our Snack and Speak social skills group is designed to help school-aged children build strong and meaningful social relationships. The program focuses on improving essential skills such as paying attention to peers, active listening, turn-taking, using social language, and developing strategies for creating and maintaining friendships.

To further support your child’s growth, an occupational therapist will join our speech-language pathologist (SLP) to lead engaging activities that promote fine and gross motor skills, as well as sensory processing development—all during snack time!

We’re excited to provide a fun and supportive environment where your child can thrive socially and build confidence.

Social Power

School Age (Ages 7½ - 11) Wednesdays 4:00-4:45pm
Our school age social power group is designed for late elementary and middle school children to explore, discuss, and practice abstract social concepts and executive functioning skills in a supportive environment. Lessons are thoughtfully organized into categories such as friendship, perspective-taking, self-monitoring, being part of a group, effective communication, making plans with others, problem-solving, and more.

Each session is co-led by a speech-language pathologist and an occupational therapist, ensuring that goals are addressed from both language and motor perspectives. This collaborative approach helps students develop a well-rounded set of skills to navigate social situations with confidence.

We look forward to helping your child thrive socially and build meaningful connections!

Tweens and Teens (Ages 12-17) Wednesdays 4:45-5:30pm

Our Tweens and Teens group is designed to help teens develop essential daily living and social skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Each month, we focus on a specific area of Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as time management, community skills, building friendships, personal hygiene, and more.

Led by a speech-language pathologist and an occupational therapist, this group targets IADLs, executive functioning, social communication, and practical skills for use in everyday life. To make learning even more engaging, occasional field trips provide real-world opportunities to practice these skills in the community.

The group meets for three weeks each month, with each session addressing a new skill set to support your child’s growth and independence. We’re excited to help your child build confidence and thrive in daily life!
